Privacy Policy

You have arrived at CBDayz (hereafter referred to as Dayz Ltd.)  General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) Policy. This policy came into effect May 25th 2018 and we are constantly working to add and improve this policy to meet standards. Kept in a form which permits identification of data subjects for no longer than is necessary for the purposes for which the personal data are processed; personal data may be stored for longer periods insofar as the personal data will be processed solely for archiving purposes in the public interest, scientific or historical research purposes or statistical purposes subject to implementation of the appropriate technical and organisational measures required by the GDPR in order to safeguard the rights and freedoms of individuals; and
  6. Processed in a manner that ensures appropriate security of the personal data, including protection against unauthorised or unlawful processing and against accidental loss, destruction or damage, using appropriate technical or organisational measures.”

General Provisions

  1. This policy applies to all personal data processed by Dayz Ltd.
  2. The Responsible Person shall take responsibility for Dayz Ltd. ongoing compliance with this policy.
  3. This policy shall be reviewed at least annually. 

Lawful, Fair and Transparent Processing

  1. To ensure its processing of data is lawful, fair and transparent, Dayz Ltd. Limited shall maintain a Register of Systems.
  2. The Register of Systems shall be reviewed at least annually.
  3. Individuals have the right to access their personal data and any such requests made to the Dayz Ltd. shall be dealt with in a timely manner. 

Lawful Purposes

  1. All data processed by Dayz Ltd. is done on one of the following lawful bases: consent, contract, legal obligation, vital interests, public task or legitimate interests (see ICO guidance for more information).
  2. Dayz Ltd. shall note the appropriate lawful basis in the Register of Systems.
  3. Where consent is relied upon as a lawful basis for processing data, evidence of opt-in consent shall be kept with the personal data.
  4. Where communications are sent to individuals based on their consent, the option for the individual to revoke their consent should be clearly available and systems should be in place to ensure such revocation is reflected accurately in the Dayz Ltd. systems. 

Data Minimisation

Dayz Ltd. shall ensure that personal data are adequate, relevant and limited to what is necessary in relation to the purposes for which they are processed. We may store information on a customer as follows and where, but we never handle customer information if it's unrelated to our business and not in helping our customer have an enjoyable, rewarding and secure experience. First Name and Last Name - Used to refer to the customer respectfully by name and to assist with the customer experience (ordering, newsletter etc):

  • To confirm orders, shipping information and to check the security of a purchase is legitimate. This is through our website (Shopify), (Amazon), our fulfillment companies, our digital subscription company (Stripe), our shipping applications and our customer service platform (Zendesk).
  • Couriers delivering the goods may also have access to this information, specifically to assist in delivery.

We never give out your email to anyone and simply have it so you get sweet deals and keep up to date because you want to be informed of our progress. You can unsubscribe here if you’re over it.

Phone Number - For security verification and to assist with shipping accurately to the customer.

  • To confirm orders are legitimate, fraud detection and shipping information to ensure we deliver you your order. We often correspond with the customer using phone. This is sourced through our website (Shopify) on the customer order and via our fulfilment company regarding their specific delivery and (Amazon).
  • Couriers delivering the goods may also have access to this information, specifically to assist in delivery.

Currency Conversion - We use a currency converter on our website to give you (the visitor) the ability to convert USD into your countries currency for convenience. By using our website, you (the visitor) agree to allow our currency converter to process your IP address in order to determine your location for the purpose of currency conversion. You also agree to have that currency stored in a session cookie in your browser (a temporary cookie which gets automatically removed when you close your browser). We do this in order for the selected currency to remain selected and consistent when browsing our website so that the prices can convert to your (the visitor) local currency.

Address - Delivery address for any orders:

  • We store addresses of customers who input this information at the checkout when they purchase. This information is used purely to deliver the customer their order accurately. We can source this information through our website (Shopify) (Amazon) on the customer order and via our fulfillment company (Shipwire) shipping applications and CRM company (Hubspot) regarding their specific delivery. Couriers delivering the goods may also have access to this information, specifically to assist in delivery. 

Credit Card - For customer and company security, we do not store any customer credit card information. It is encrypted with state of the art encryption on Shopify (our website hosting service). Shopify's security policies are found here.

    Accuracy

    1. Dayz Ltd. shall take reasonable steps to ensure personal data is accurate.
    2. Where necessary for the lawful basis on which data is processed, steps shall be put in place to ensure that personal data is kept up to date. 

    Archiving / Removal

    1. To ensure that personal data is kept for no longer than necessary, Dayz Ltd. shall put in place an archiving policy for each area in which personal data is processed and review this process annually.
    2. The archiving policy shall consider what data should/must be retained, for how long, and why.

    An example of this archival is that twice per year, we delete all customer emails who are not engaging with our content (the bottom 10% of our newsletter customer base).

    Security

    1. Dayz Ltd. shall ensure that personal data is stored securely using modern software that is kept-up-to-date.
    2. Access to personal data shall be limited to personnel who need access and appropriate security should be in place to avoid unauthorised sharing of information.
    3. When personal data is deleted, this should be done safely such that the data is irrecoverable.
    4. Appropriate back-up and disaster recovery solutions shall be in place. 

    Breach
    In the event of a breach of security leading to the accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorised disclosure of, or access to, personal data, Dayz Ltd. shall promptly assess the risk to people’s rights and freedoms and if appropriate report this breach to the ICO (more information on the ICO website).
